As the first Robin, Dick Grayson was the most famous sidekick in comic book history. As he ventured forth on his own, he formed the Teen Titans and became their leader. When the boy became a man, he became the independent hero known as Nightwing.
When young Kent Nelson was manipulated into killing his father, Sven, during an expedition in Mesopotamia when he unwittingly awoke Nabu from suspected animation, Nabu gifted the young boy with tutelage in the magical arts before gifting him the vestments and Artifacts of Fate. With it, Kent Nelson became known as Doctor Fate, the first of DC's most powerful and premier, heroic legacies of sorcerers, acting as agent for the Lords of Order and host for Nabu.
