You can't have a San Diego Comic-Con without cosplay. Some of you may have feared we weren't going to feature any. That is not the case. With huge thanks to Norman Chan of Tested.com, we were able to get another huge gallery of the best cosplayers at this year's Comic-Con. It's always an amazing thing to see the detail and time the cosplayers take to put together their costumes.

Sit back and get ready to begin clicking away to enlarge each pic. Be sure to check out Tested.com for some alternate views of most of these images. I managed to take a few pics myself but came nowhere near the number Norm was able to get. (To scroll between images, open one, then press left and right on the keyboard if you're using CHROME).

Thanks again to Norman Chan for sharing and combining his pictures with ours. Check out his gallery over at Tested.com to see some different angles and poses.

Tony Guerrero is the Editor-in-Chief of Comic Vine. You can follow him on Twitter @GManFromHeck. The closest he ever came to really cosplaying was dressing up as Madman for Halloween one year.

#2 Posted by CrimsonCake (2672 posts) - - Show Bio

Wolverine and Boba Fett? genius...I'm surprised someone would go as someone obscure as Hawk from Hawk and Dove.

I want to go to comicon sooo bad :( On the bright side I am going to Dragoncon this year close enough :)

#4 Posted by RainEffect (3240 posts) - - Show Bio

Some of these are incredible

My personal favorites are the Phoenix and War Machine ones. The attention to detail on the green and gold Phoenix costume was amazing. That girl perfected it.

Looks like Sarah forgot her guns :)

Nice gallery.

#6 Posted by KamenRider00 (28 posts) - - Show Bio

The Kamen Rider and Rocketeer costumes are the best!

#7 Posted by Wannabe_Hipster (4 posts) - - Show Bio

A lot of good costumes here!

#8 Posted by CrimsonCake (2672 posts) - - Show Bio

Was this suppose to be Wesley Dodds Sandman?

#9 Posted by H_Leon (6 posts) - - Show Bio

Fantastic!

#10 Posted by AskaniSon295 (427 posts) - - Show Bio

Gladiator is Purple not Blue he must be Gladitor's half brother that gladitor's father had with mystique.

#11 Posted by FoxxFireArt (3549 posts) - - Show Bio

That first Catwoman is certainly well......proportioned. Unsurprisingly there were plenty of Slave Leia. That one X-23 looks incredible. Also, the three boobed TOTAL RECALL girl!

I am surprised that there were no real good Wonder Woman costumes.

Costumes that surprised me were Edward Scissorhands and Mary Poppins. I have to love all the GHOSTBUSTERS stuff. Just surprised they went with the GHOSTBUSTERS 2 suits. PRINCESS BRIDE cosplay was also very cool to see.

For all the LEGEND OF KORRA characters I saw. I was a little disappointed to not see any actual Korra.

Sara as Lara and Tony as a Court of Owls Member, Awesome....

EDIT: Matt didn't cosplay?

#14 Posted by TheHeat (450 posts) - - Show Bio

The Deadmau5-pool was fantastic!

#15 Posted by primepower53 (5686 posts) - - Show Bio

My favorite part of comic con....

#16 Posted by deadpool25mm (579 posts) - - Show Bio

That deadman is awesome!

#17 Posted by Falconer (150 posts) - - Show Bio

LOL, you can tell Sara's boots are waaaaay too big for her. But for a last minute costume, it's pretty good.

#18 Posted by The Stegman (23258 posts) - - Show Bio

Red Skull with Catwoman ftw

#19 Posted by LordRequiem (1310 posts) - - Show Bio

Anti-Venom and Galactus, finally some innovative people. I do love how far too many people try to go as characters they just don't remotely have the correct physical appearance for.

#20 Posted by Mad_Wolverine (228 posts) - - Show Bio

Wow, Psylocke has me speechless.

#21 Posted by feargalr (1154 posts) - - Show Bio

Awesome work Comic Vine! We all appreciate it :)

#22 Posted by Blizaga101 (912 posts) - - Show Bio

#24 Posted by WWAJfan (242 posts) - - Show Bio

that ANti Venom and Bane look awesome, specially Anti Venom

#25 Posted by Miss_Garrick (1757 posts) - - Show Bio

There were some AMAZING costumes here! I swear some of them were at the ECCC earlier this year. Love the Sherlock and The British Avengers, but this

is my top favorite. I would love to read a comic of this fellow.

#26 Posted by umbrafeline (5300 posts) - - Show Bio

yaya han, batgirl and hawkgirl for the win :-)
#27 Posted by Skywarpgold (55 posts) - - Show Bio

Wow, I only just saw the Doctor Princess episode of Adventure Time last night, and here's someone cosplaying as her. Crazy.

I am always amazed by the creativity of people and the range of characters represented.

Every year I keep saying I'm going and every year I don't. I would have a hard time picking a character, lol -- maybe body paint could be the way to go with some strategically placed PG-13 appliques? It would save money, give me a variety of looks and be more closer to how some characters look like....

My faves though were the Steam Punk efforts and the little kids.

Great job and thanks for sharing. :)

The Power Rangers, Jean Grey and my personal favourite.

Mau5pool.

Deadman costume wins.

<--- Oh, hey. Where ya from?

Anyway, if you want a Psylocke, Google "Linda Le Vampy Psylocke". She is MUCH better.

She was a female Captain America this year, I believe. Yaya Han is the Catwoman/Psylocke. She was the cosplay Queen until Linda. Yaya Han looks good for her age...but she's clearly aging. I think she got another boob job, too. Looks kinda unsightly to me.

Sara Croft was winning, though.

I'm totally jelly of whoever made that Galactus costume. Same goes to the guys in the Anti-Venom, Rocketeer and Bane costumes... Those are just amazing.

I'm also surprised to see so many My Little Pony and TF2 cosplayers too...

So many awesome costumes!!!

The green Phoenix/Jean Grey, black and white Frankie Stein, and Princess Buttercup are the Birds of 'Play and the costumes (plus the Dark Helmet!) are by Castle Corsetry.

Thanks again for the great pics!

Really? Maybe it was just a quirk of circumstance. There are a number of blogs talking about seeing Korra cosplayers all over SDCC.

I'm a bit disappointed that I only saw ONE Lin BeiAMF Fong cosplayer in a photostream. With the concept art for Book 2 making the rounds, next year's cosplayers will be particularly awesome (i.e. 'GrownUp!Gaang').

I wonder if all the Stephanie Brown cosplayers invaded the DC Comics panel en masse?

#36 Posted by rum1929 (144 posts) - - Show Bio

I truly had an amazing time at SDCC and I took a bunch of pictures of just people in their amazing costumes!! I applaud everyone that goes out to these conventions and represent in their cosplay costumes!! It shows their creativity, dedication, love and passion for comics, anime and anything pop culture!

@cyberchop979: Where are they're costumes? I cant find them on here.

on a side note, these were all awesome. I was getting tired of all the slave liea's and the catwoman's though. Yet this slave Liea stood out. Her body is Flawless O.O

#38 Posted by Overlander (439 posts) - - Show Bio

So many amazing outfits. I applaud the talent, hard work, and effort that went into these outfits. Thanks for photographing and cataloging Norm & the CV crew!

...That Jean Grey Phoenix cosplayer has officially made my nerd dream come true.

#39 Posted by cyberchop979 (451 posts) - - Show Bio

@lastdrag0n89: Sara is the 2nd to last pic, Tony is the last one.

#40 Posted by fanged_wolf (31 posts) - - Show Bio

was that sarah dressed as lara croft at the end?

#41 Posted by Erik (31777 posts) - - Show Bio

Jessica Nigri is sexy.

Also, trying to decide which Boba Fett I like best. Boba Fett + Wolverine or the two that are Boba Fett + boobs.

#42 Edited by Jonny_Rogers (123 posts) - - Show Bio

I cannot get over that Deadman costume!
Despite looking like the Daredevil movie costume, I would go so far as to say that I'd love to see that costume used in any live action adaption of Deadman.

On another note, why can't we get anything like this in Britain?

#43 Posted by Queso6p4 (1430 posts) - - Show Bio

As usual, love the costumes people did, especially the kid Hawkeye and kid Flash, Penguin, Galactus, X-23, the Tick and Arthur, Bane, kid Scarecrow, Stay Puft, and so many more.

@lastdrag0n89: If those are her kids beside her that's kinda creepy.

I know, right! A hardcover of Batgirl: The Lesson has been taunting me at my local store. Trades for Steph's run are hard to come by, nonetheless a hardcover, so that awesome cosplay is gonna make me get the book this week when I pickup Nightwing.

Seriously, that's easily the best phoenix costume I've ever seen.

@CrimsonCake: Actually I think it's meant to be Mr.Foster from Killing Floor. I may be wrong, but it looks a lot like that to me :P
