Love the video. Im glad people are getting into the genre. I don't care if people do it for attention. as long as they love what they do then do it.

I think "genderbending" cosplay is an awesome idea, because it shows true creativity, in my opinion.
Male Mystique...? Wtf
Mystique is a shapeshifter. How does this get a WTF?
She rocks! I'd love to see her in person. Great Power Girl and Carrie Kelley. Lady Thanos was a cool concept and well executed, and I love her confidence in portraying a character so different from her physically! Whenever I see those cosplays, that are so different it does take me out of the moment. Not saying that genderswapping, or ignoring race or body type should stop anyone from cosplaying as a character, but when it's 2 or more of those variables it's hard to see the character inside the person.
I'd especially love to see her do Hope Summers, Magik, or any of the Earth-11 characters (Aquawoman Anna Curry, Flash, Batwoman, GL Kylie Rayner, Miss Miracle, or Superwoman Laur-El)
@nickxh: @darkrider: You guys didn't read the Get Ready for San Diego Comic-Con 2013 article did you?
I'm in North Carolina and I've never once heard about the Greensboro comic book city thing. What's the connection? I'd figure it would be Raleigh.
@alkusanagi: Greensboro petitioned city council to rename itself every year on Free Comic Book Day to Comic Book City. Acme Comics spearheaded the initiative in effort to support childhood literacy.
@fantasgasmic: Completely agree. People sometimes forget it is not about finding reasons to exclude people but include. Mixing it up is a good thing.

And your opinion is worth something, because...?

Find some reasons to include murderers, rapists, KKK members, Black Panther members, pedophiles, Iran, North Korea, people who want to see America and the west burnt to nuclear ash and then your mealy mouthed care bears mlp:fim inspired BS might come off as less of an empty and unattainable platitude without the proper application of force there.
Sara's replacement?
nope that is the new girl Jessica

Me too, brother. Fayetteville in this bish!
This was awesome I hope it is a regular feature of this site! I think I took a shot of Caitin at Heroes con in her Thanos gear, I have to check my photos to be sure.
I would love to get in cosplay but I can't sew worth beans lol And I can see where her point was that gender bending just opens up more oppurtunites for creative outfits.
I am a 6'6 400 Blk male, so I am limited in what I can do. I will never get to be a classic Captain America or Thor or the such, but you need to find your oppurtinities where you can and find creative ways to achieve what you want.
I have the utmost respect for the folk who are able to give their time to such a awesome hobby.
Can't wait for the Syfy show coming soon
@mrfuzzynutz: Dude seeing a Black Captain America cosplay would be so epic :D
