Origin
Little is known about the Cosmic Clown. An android created beyond the stars as but one of an army of clown assassins, he at some point turned on his own kind and became determined to root out their evil.
Creation
The Cosmic Clown was created by Keith Giffen, Tom Bierbaum, and Mary Bierbaum. He made his first appearance in The Heckler #3.
Major Story Arcs
The Heckler
Arriving on Earth, the Cosmic Clown becomes convinced that the nearby circus is actually a hive of his fellow clown assassins. He attacks, mistakenly believing that Heckler is the clown leader of this troupe of murderous clowns. The pair fight, until Heckler manages to disguise himself as a woman. Distracted by his attraction to the female Heckler, Cosmic Clown is decapitated by the Heckler. His head is stolen by Bob, who takes it as a piece of memorabilia. Fully aware but unable to escape due to his lack of a body, the Clown makes it his mission to annoy and inconvenience his captor.
Powers and Abilities
The Cosmic Clown is an android of great power. He is invulnerable and immortal, and superhumanly strong. He has several offensive weapons, such as heat vision, and is able to fly. He is a skilled assassin, and capable in armed and unarmed combat.
