...but actually set in the present day of a comic universe. I could see the ad tagline now:

"C.O.P.S.: Fighting Crime in the Present Time. All Those Future Stories Are Now Past History."

Did anyone else like this comic? I liked it better than the cartoon.

@Green Skin: That's funny.  I didn't care for the cartoon as much, because it was one of those where nothing of consequence ever happened, and yet it taught you a lesson at the end of the show.  "Today, we saw that..." kind of thing.  <Blargh.> 
 
The comic was a little less like that, but still pretty much kiddie-fied.  I'd really like to revamp it today, but in the present, instead of the future.

I want this back 2! this should have made the new 52!!!

@cbishop: Hey they could tie this in with Batman Beyond!

@Watcherg6: My thought was always to tie it into Batman or Superman (I actually think tied into the Metropolis PD would be better). However, that requires bringing the characters out of the future and into the present, which while honestly not a drastic change, is still sort of major. Tying them into Batman Beyond would still leave them in a future (if not the future they were used to), so actually seems like a better idea. :)
