I think we all have a favorite title we'd like to see in trade paperbacks. Here's a series I'd like to see:

    Proposed Title:C.O.P.S.
Alternate Title:C.O.P.S.: Fighting Crime in a Future Time
    Collecting 15 Issues:C.O.P.S. #1-15
    Covers: (click to enlarge)
    TPB Cover: C.O.P.S. #15
    TPB Cover: C.O.P.S. #15

Today, it's my dad's birthday, and he's a retired policeman and sheriff's deputy, so I figured why not take a look at one of my favorite titles, C.O.P.S.? The Central Organization of Police Specialists were "fighting crime in a future time," and they had the goofy gadgetry to prove it! They included the cybernetic Bulletproof Vess, the powercuff weilding Longarm, Texan Sundown, Bowser & Blitz, and others. They fought against Big Boss and his goons (my favorites being Ms Demeanor and Buttons McBoomBoom, but as a yes-man, Squeeky Kleen was pretty keen). This comic never quite found its full potential, because it was the spin-off product of the C.O.P.S. cartoon, which was strictly kiddie-fare. I always liked it for what it could have been, but as it is, it was still a fun ride.

I didn't think this title was going to fit the 12-Month Trade idea, because there were 15 issues. But thanks to one issue being dated "Winter" and another issue being dated "Holiday," it fits. C.O.P.S. lasted from August 1988 to August 1989 (which okay, is thirteen months, but shut up, it's my dad's birthday).

Whenever an older comic is reprinted, the standard seems to be to use the cover of the first issue in the collection as the cover for the TPB, and that would work fine here. However, I think the cover to issue 15 would be better, and more eye catching, as it's a homage cover to Justice League #1.

Would you buy this if it were reprinted in TPB? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for reading.
