    A Look into Constantine's Childhood

I gotta say, I love the character development Constantine's going through at the moment. True it shakes up his history from Hellblazer considerably, but it is sufficiently tragic and helps inform this version of Constantine's personality. It's not all bad for fans of Hellblazer, though. We finally have confirmation that the New Castle incident is still canon!

The action in this issue is fairly good and much easier to follow than last month's. True it does fee a little demon-of-the-week but we are seeing character development, and evidence of a mounting story arch on the horizon.

I only have two gripes with this issue. The first is that the last several pages are to promote something coming up in Superman. I feel this comic would have done a bit better if the last 5-ish pages dedicated to the story rather than a promotion.

The second and admittedly petty gripe is that we see Constantine driving in this issue. Historically speaking, he just doesn't do that (I believe because his license was revoked due to drunk driving, though I could be wrong). I understand he may be driving illegally or perhaps the New 52 version doesn't have this problem (yet). Either way I just found it weird.

Over all I think this is a very solid issue, and am very anxious to see what happens in the next issue.
