Plot Summary

Overview
Hellboy creator Mike Mignola takes over writing duties on Conanfor a three-part story adapting one of Robert E. Howard's legendary "lost" story fragments, "The Hall of the Deadî!

Pursued by a small army, Conan heads for shelter in the ancient ruins of a forgotten city, lured by a flimsy rumor of treasure. Instead, he finds the fallen idols of twisted gods and a lot of croaking creatures. Luckily, frogs are no match for a Cimmerian . . . right?

From artist Cary Nord and comics visionary Mike Mignola comes one of the weirdest tales ever cooked up by Howard, taking Conan on an adventure far darker, and slimier, than he's ever faced before.

Spooky little Lovecraftian story here. The Toad is unlike many other Conan tales lately because we don't really know what Conan is up against, it may be human. It may not be magical. It may just be something so completely out there that we cannot possibly understand. Then again, it could just be a big toad.

Who knows? But it is a good story nonetheless.

Conan is attempting to steal some treasure from a long dead city. Many people have failed, but what is weird was the warning from the dead man 'Beware the Toad'.

If Conan isn't afraid of anything, how could he possibly be afraid of a toad? Will that be his undoing?
