Plot Summary
Overview
Conan battles a gelatinous abomination older than history itself in this continuation of Robert E. Howard's "The Hall of the Dead" adapted by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and drawn by Cary Nord.
Grasping, groping tentacles meet cold, hard steel as Conan struggles to avoid the churning gullet of an adversary unlike any he's faced before. In an abandoned city long lost to the hearts and memories of man, where will the Cimmerian turn for refuge? The haunting dead of this ancient place offer no solace, but they want nothing more than for Conan to join their dank and lifeless company.

The Serpent
Conan battles the giant toad. What the heck is it exactly? Who knows? All I know is that there must be some pretty neat treasure hidden here if this toad who seems invincible is guarding it. Nobody, except perhaps Conan could ever possibly get through this creature to get at it.
Even Conan needs help. Well, not really but I think he is getting tired of running, and maybe perhaps a little lonely. He recruits the same man who has been chasing him these past few issues, Gunderman for assistance.
Spooky story so far. I don't understand the creature, but do we have to? All I know (and of course Conan as well) is that it is deadly!
