Plot Summary

Overview

At the age of ten, Conan already finds boyhood too small to contain his manly strength and ambition. But when disease strikes him and his village, he is left weak and unworthy. Determined to regain his self-respect, he journeys alone to the site of one of Cimmeria's bloodiest battlesóbut little does Conan know that vile men hide in the shadows of this place, waiting to prey upon those so foolish as to awaken the fallen warriors from their uneasy sleep.

The Battle of Brita's Vale

The Battle of Brita's Vale is the third part in the excellent story by Dark Horse called Born on the Battlefield.

It is the story of a child Conan who is slowly coming of age. Here he doubts himself. He does not know if he has what it takes to be a good hunter and/or warrior, so he embarks on a quest. A quest to Brita's Vale, where a terrible battle took place and thousands died.

Young Conan must meet the challenges ahead to prove to himself he has what it takes.

This one is the weakest of the three Born on the Battlefield issues so far. I love this entire story and while it may be weak, I can accept that they wanted to tell this story. O m not saying this was a bad issue, it's just that the other two entries in this story was that good, hard to live up to.
