This is the grande finale of the Born on the Battlefield story.

Wow. It is Conan, but was very similar to the Lord of the Rings battle scenes (in the movies) like the Battle for Helm's Deep and some such.

Packed full of action, death, remorse, tragedy, it has absolutely everything in this battle. All things in this story ties up and explained away, now Conan can proceed to his destiny... the destiny we have all heard.

It is sad to see that except for Conan, all the characters I have come to enjoy are gone. Probably forever, never to return to Conan stories. I have to give kudos to the writers for their originality and the artists for the style I really liked throughout this series. I don't know how the series is going to progress now. Apparently it is going to fifty but with all new contributors. I think they will just use them to tell small stories and to wrap up the series as a whole.

Then, after issue fifty, Conan the Cimmerian #1 I would think. I hope they treat it as well as this group has. I've inhaled these stories!
