I had never read a romance comic until now. I thought: Hey, why not? Tons of issues are in the public domain. Besides, I could beef up the wiki a little bit based on the book I read. I regret this decision. The art was fun - I'll give the issue that. The ladies were classically fancy and the guys were fantastically conservative, forever helping to keep this period of time looking as perfect as we are raised to think it was.

Here is the problem: The first story is called "Marriage Can Wait," a harrowing tale about a girl who grows tired of having her wedding postponed so she begins a whirlwind relationship with another man. He tries to take things too fast and she rebuffs him. He goes crazy and drives the two of them off a bridge. Theme: Marriage can wait... because you may get driven off a bridge if you don't wait. Then, the next three stories depict women meeting a man and marrying him within weeks! What? If marriage can wait, why can't these ladies wait. They are in the same book. This disjointed approach was so confusing as I read. As such, I can't recommend this book, nor can I read another like it.
