I first discovered Archie and the Riverdale gang in the waiting room during my older brothers' - Matt and Tim - appointments with the orthodontist. Good times, good times. Once I was hooked, I discovered Li'l Archie and the gang. Smaller, younger versions of the Riverdale gang. Somehow, all the adults looked the same between Li'l Archie and Archie. Maybe Mr. Weatherbee was just a little slimmer, but not by much.

Li'l Archie was a real delight to read. Just like Tiny Toons. Or maybe Animaniacs. Yeah, maybe Animaniacs, with their play or pay contracts.

So is Tiny Titans. Of course, I'm a Titans fan.

I started reading The New Teen Titans by Marv Wolfman and George Perez with their debut in DC Comics Presents. It was a preview in the middle of a Superman - Green Lantern team-up. To this day, I have absolutely no idea what that storywas all about. Supes and GL in an alien deimension fighting something that looked like Marvel's Ego, the living planet. Wolfman and Perez got me hooked and I started tracking down back issues to catch up.

Now, Art Baltazar and Franco, the sick, demented geniuses behind Patrick the Wolf-Boy - which I have not had a chance to read yet - have been given free reign to run amok in the Titans universe. Just call this Earth-TT, for Tiny Titans. All the Titans are here, including the Barbara Gordon Batgirl, who should have been a Titan. Maybe my personal favorite Air Wave II will show up in a future issue.

This is a really nice addition to the Titans universe and a nice companion to Teen Titans Go!, the companion comic to the Cartoon Network series. I was expecting to laugh out loud and hard, but the jokes were a cute chuckle. Which is fine by me. Teen Titans Go! and Tiny Titans are a nice breather from the oft-times heavy, angst ridden main-stream title. God bless Wolfman and Perez, but when Jericho went rogue, I was shaking my head. It made sense, but it was such a waste of a good character. When Raven broke up Dick and Kori's wedding - years after they had gone to Tamaran to watch her marry someone else - my head exploded. Give me Garth, Gar, Dick, Wally, Roy and Donna any day of the week and maybe twice on Sundays. Throw in Vic, Kori, Raven, Lilith, Mal - and even Hawk & Dove, a bag of nacho chips and a Dr. Thunder and I'm there! It was a real shame when Donna was killed off by the Superman robot and Young Justice was swallowed up whole by the Titans. Bart, Tim and Connor were much more carefree and fun as Young Justice than as Titans.

If you like the Teen Titans, in every, any and all their incarnations you will enjoy Tiny Titans. Even more if you have kids; or, like me, a nephew or a neice to share the Titans with. These Titans are fun.

    Awww yeah, Titans!

I got this comic because I am a huge Teen Titans fan and I gotta say, it was totally worth it. The book just consists of a collection of short comics drawn in a cute little childish animation style. The humor in the book is very well done too. The characteristics of each of the Titans actually follows the personalities of little children, but also how they act in the other comic book series. I found myself reading and then laughung out loud in a "Ha Ha, I remember doing that when I was little" sort of way. It is definately worth getting if you are just looking for something to laugh about. Although it is short, it is very funny and will keep you entertained.

Well finally there comes a book whose cover you can judge it by. Seriously, this comic is critic proof. Just by looking at it you can tell if you are going to have fun with it, or just blow it off as something stoopid. To tell the truth, I had fun with it, because it was something stoopid. It takes a smart person to create something this incredibly simple and fun without actually being stupid. So my hat is off to the creative crew for this one. Heck I like this book even more than my two daughters do. One of them is eleven. Good times.
