Plot Summary

His name is Butcher Joyce...he knows things. Hot damn!

Overview

Butcher Joyce cleans up messes, especially those created by members of the Franchetti crime family. Loyal to a fault, he’s always been the kind of guy Jackie Estacado can count on. Over the years, he’s come to know more than a few secrets. But what happens when those secrets put his life in danger?

The spotlight shines on Butcher in this one-shot courtesy of up-and-coming writer Rob Levin (WITCHBLADE: BEARERS OF THE BLADE, WIGHT & ASSOCIATES) and artist Michael Broussard (THE DARKNESS, UNHOLY UNION).

    Where The Bodies Are Buried

This was such an enjoyable comic. First thing I have to know is how did Rob Levin know all the facts about "clean up" that Butcher shows and tells us about on page 1? Hmmm...

Rob is mainly an editor at Top Cow so it's great to see that he knows what he's doing. This was a well written tale. Who would've thought Butcher, a man that cleans up the kills of the Franchetti Family, could carry a whole issue? There's also the fact that you can actually feel for a guy that has to be completely unfeeling in his...profession.

The art...Michael Broussard continues to kick butt with his pencil in hand. Top Cow did the right thing in signing him to an exclusive contract.

What I also want to know is will we see more of this Mr. Nolan? I can't see the Franchetti Family being too happy with the way Butcher is treated in this story.

Check this out as soon as it hits the stands.
