I know that, before he died, Steve Gerber gave cautious approval for the use of this character by Jonathan Lethem.   And I'm so glad he did.  This series has been fantastic.  Fantastically odd, that is, but brilliantly written.  We don't just have the enigmatic Omega, but there's quasi autistic Alex, obnoxious superhero, the Mink and a back up cast of little characters who are nevertheless so well included in the story that the book is an incredibly rewarding read.  Then there's the Overthinker, who is, I guess, the Watcher, to all intents and purposes, who this issue, resorts to, ahem, singing about the events going on.  Did I mention that this comic is a tad odd?  All this is combined with Farel Dalrymple's art.  Now, I'll be honest.  Dalrymple has a faux - naive style that may not be to all tastes, but, give it a chance, and boy does it grow on you.  Mr D, you truly rock.

If you haven't been picking this up, search out the trade when it comes out.  You will not be disappointed.
