Plot Summary

(Contains Spoilers)

People have stopped accusing Emma of cheating and she continued to score straight A's. Some of the students are beginning to ask Emma for tutoring. Soon Emma discovers that Matilda had to leave the school because of their family financial problems. Emma begins to display some evil as she smiled at Matilda as she walked out of the school. A month has gone by and her class went to an art museum. Emma begins to have headaches again. During lunch, her teacher asks Emma if she would be interested in tutoring people. Emma excitingly agrees. Later at home during dinner, Emma's father gets in a fight with her sister Cordelia, she storms out of the dining room. Emma tries to cheer everything up by telling her father she got an A on a quiz. Her father just brushed it off like nothing and disappoints Emma. After class the next day, her teacher decides to walk Emma off of campus and she hears one of his thoughts, "Sexy." Emma gets a little confused but she has decided to become a teacher now. She goes home to tell her father about it and they get into an argument. Emma storms out and later rides horses with her brother and talks to him. 3 weeks later, after school she was taken home by her butler. However, it was a stormy weather and their car broke down. Her butler went ahead to get help and later Emma's teacher would come by and pick her up. Emma sleeps in the car and hears her teacher's thoughts, she realizes how much he admires her and when she wakes up she kisses him. He gets freaked out and tells her that he is her teacher. Her father sees everything and the next day at class, Emma realizes that her teacher Ian was fired. She tries to confront her father about it but was unsuccessful.

    Higher Learning Part 3

Okay, I seriously can't believe I hadn't read this series before and I pity anyone who hasn't. This series is just completely awesome, though it has relatively little hardcore action and fighting it is the story itself that is so appealing.

This story brings to a conclusion Emma's interaction with Matilda (her enemy) and Ian (her teacher/lover). In this issue, Emma expresses her interest to become a teacher but Winston is appalled...however, Ian tells her she could even be a Headmistress.

So it is that Emma is led to make a fool of herself, when following her misinterpretations she kisses Ian on her own driveway, an act caught on tape by her father.

This leads to a father/daughter war when he gets Ian fired...a war that has only just begun.
