Amazing Spider-Man, The #31: If This Be My Destiny
I have to say that Stan Lees plan to write every issue as if it is someones first issue kind of back fires with this one. Sure Aunt May cares about Peter, but when May gets sick, Peter nearly gives up life worrying about Aunt May. I mean to a Freudian level. I understand all through the series Stan Lee writes his characters as if they were incredibly obsessive, no matter the object of their interest. This however borders on the realm of sick. Also it makes Peter Parker look like the most self absorbed person in the Marvel Universe. I don't know, a little depth may help these charaters out.
