The mighty John Romita returned to mark possibly the most historic (and recently most contraversial) moment in Spidey's life. His gorgeously clear artwork works very well for this most joyful of occasions. He made two covers (was this one of Marvel's first dalliances with the variant cover?). One with Spidey and MJ flanked by heroes and villians from Spidey's past. It's pretty cool but I prefer the cover that is perhaps the simpler of the two, perhaps because I love the sheer joy of the expressions on Pete and MJ's face and on those of the supporting cast. Even Jonah looks capable of good humour on this. All in all, very, very sweet.
