Drug Abuser?

I don't remember specifically where(i'll look for the reference) but in a comic I saw Colossus injecting himself with some type of drug and saying to himself something along the lines of, "I'll come back to you Katya(might be the wrong name)". I know for sure that it wasn't the 1610 version and as I type I am beginning to think it may have been in the comic where Xavier was getting his memories back after being shot in the head after Messiah Complex, I think it was called Divided We Stand.

@U R Sofa King We Todd Did: I think you're talking about when Colossus injected himself with the Legacy Virus to save dying mutants and cure the world of it. This is when Colossus 'died'. And it was a cure not a drug.

@ZacCooper: yes i had heard he had done that but never saw the scan so didn't put the 2 together. makes more sense

In the Ultimate X-Men version of Colossus, he was a drug abuser since he used a sort of steroid drug called "Banshee" to make himself stronger and the other X-Men were trying to stop him from using Banshee so much.

The OP says that it isn't the Ultimate version.

The way to cure the Legacy Virus was for someone to be infected with the cure... But it had already been decalred that whoever it was would die from the Cure. The cure would then be released into the atmosphere to nullify the effects of the Legacy Virus as spread by Stryfe at the end of the X-Cutioner's Song.

Bloody rubbish way to kill someone, with a cure.

Oh yeah I was just pointing out that in the Ultimate version, Colossus was a drug abuser, but not in the mainstream version. I agree that it was the dumbest reason to have a cure that would kill someone rather than heal someone. They should have made a cure that doesn't have to kill anyone, but I guess if the cure didn't have that kind of side effect, then Colossus' death wouldn't have made it to the top comic book deaths of all time.

That was still like, the dumbest reason for a death. The followup "funeral" issue was good but man, that death. I was pissed. Colossus was my favorite. Then Joss made it all better.

Yeah! I don't think that I could read an X-Men comic without Colossus being in it! I'm so glad that Joss Whedon brought him back!!!
