I know that Superman is called such because he's strong and invulnerable but Colossus has that too though weaker than Superman (unless we're talking about Phoenix Colossunaut). and Colossus turns into steel.

So for me, Colossus is the real Man of Steel.

then they took that name in court

The films called that the same way Dark Knight was called that. Plus Superman would defeat Colossus even in Phoenix form as Superman is indestructible unless you have a tiny green rock
