Mr. Sinister First confrontation: Unknown When Colossus gave his life to stop the Legacy Virus, Sinister was grateful and offered to clone Colossus however the X-Men refused to allow it. Mr. Sinister first became a true enemy of Colossus during the recent storyline, "Colossus: Bloodline". In this story Sinister is using Mikhail Rasputin (the brother of Colossus) for one sole purpose, to murder all of the Rasputins so that their ancestor Grigori Rasputin will be reincarnated in his last living relative, till his own power returned. It seems that Sinister is going to succeed when he gets Mikhail under his influence and many of the Rasputin family members are killed, leaving only Piotr and Mikhail (Peter and Illyana are both ignored in this story). However Mikhail is freed from Sinister's influence and he and Colossus defeat him as he is in a weakened state. Mikhail teleports to a dimension that cannot be escaped and he cannot die in...all so that Sinister's plan will never be fulfilled. That way there is no longer a reason for Sinister to murder Colossus, as it would not help him in any way. |
