Cobra Commander Looks...Interesting
LatinoReview has posted some images found at HissTank.com.
It just doesn't look good. Why go for this look? Would a regular old Cobra Commander helmet look worse than this? I feel like he should be fighting the Toxic Avenger rather than G.I. Joe. I really want this movie to be good. Now, I'm just not so sure.
What do you think? Is there any hope? Woof.

Maaaaan that looks like ish. He looks like a deformed Ant Man. As more info and pics come out, the more I become disenfranchised with this movie. They should have just made a Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow origin story instead.
"I think it look good I'm excited. Has anyone seen Zartan yetHERE's what Zartan may look like. Not happy about that either.

What I don't understand is: If they want to attract the 6-7-8 year old kids that have heard Dad talk about how kickass G.I. Joe was back in the day, why make such drastic changes to major characters? The pictures or cartoons or knowledge these fathers are passing down to their boys or girls will have their kids not giving a crap about it because their parent, devout 'Joe-fan, is dissapointed with the big-screen cluster%^&#. Kids pay attention to their parents' interests.
I saw the interview that was posted here with Ryan Reynolds talking about who "Deadpool" is. I mean, you can see the look in his face that he knows now that the fan-boys are going to be unimpressed. The onscreen DP can have a mouth on him, but he won't look the same. That's something that's key.
Just like it appears to be in this movie. I don't really know how "3rd Rock Kid/I Got Hacked in the First Five Minutes of Halloween H20 Kid" is going to pull this off not looking at all like ANY incarnation of Cobra Commander. He could have CC's voice(it won't be what we want to hear at all), but the look, ugh.
And with them not covering Storm Shadow's face for a promo picture, it's looking even more like a crapfest.
Larry Hama is apart of the project, correct?
What in the world are they thinking. Can't wait 'til it tanks out. If you re-do something, re-do it right.
Reynolds has said that he feels he's playing the character that will become Deadpool. So there is some hope there.
I also hope that everyone knows I was being a bit sarcastic with the title of this post. I don't really think he looks interesting.
And Larry Hama? He was involved but as a 'creative consultant.' He wasn't a writer. He is supposedly going to have a cameo. And also supposedly talked the writers into dropping a scene where Snake-Eyes talks at the end. Guess he had to choose his battles.
Not liking the Cobra Commander look. Might look better on the big screen, but I doubt it. As for Zartan it does not bother me as much. I did not expect the actor who would portray Zartan to have the huge amount of black make-up on his face, also he is a master of disguise so with some good cgi I think he could still be cool.
His look is okay, but I think they should have stuck with the hooded mask. Still, I think this movie will be awesome.
Baroness looks good, Snake Eyes looks perfect (I'm glad they went with that particular costume because it's my personal favorite), but why the heck are they going with this look for Cobra Commander? Cobra Commander has an iconic, distinct look. This version make him look like just another thug in a metal mask. I guess this version is more like the Battle Armored Cobra Commander. I just hope that he goes through several costume changes throughout the movie, and this is just one of them. I hope that he comes out with the classic faceplate, and even the cloth mask one.
well i guess the actor didn't want to be excluded out the character he contracted to be playing , he might have said put my eyes in so they know who iam and not just a comic character well i hope he gets the voice correct or else
Biological Warfare: The Weirdo Face
The picture I've posted (below) is the Cobra Commander I wanted to see in the Hollywood (USA) film, though the one presented was entertaining, and I liked the comment in this thread that the one presented in the film looked like a deformed/transformed Ant-Man!
Cobra Commander is a symbol of high-profile traffic terrorism. He relishes in mayhem and subversion and his demeanor reflects his attitude towards anarchy.
The old school G.I. Joe and Transformers cartoons featured the same voice actor for Cobra Commander and the Decepticon Starscream who incidentally were kind of similar in personality!
I think Cobra Commander is a totem of cannibalism, since he represents the will to do carnage for the sake of revolution. He seems to equate risk with opportunity, which is both daring and frightening, and maybe the Commander presented in the film looked like a Toxic Avenger and Ant-Man since Cobra itself is willing to resort to biological warfare for upheaval.
Can't you see Cobra Commander licking his lips when he thinks about Snake Eyes or Sargent Slaughter?
