Civil War
Following a catastrophic tragedy caused by superhumans, the US Government passes a Super-Human Registration Act that requires all super-powered individuals in the country to reveal their identities, disclose their powers and personal details, and register as government employees or risk indefinite incarceration. This causes a deep rift in the hero community, with some backing the Act while others oppose it.
Marvel's Civil War: GIANT FLAW.... the SHRA was only for the USA
they were fighting for a law that would only be enforced against American Heroes..
i dont see why international heroes/ villians had to worry..
for example, a superhero of Germany, who has citizen in Germany, should not have to fight,
against the SHRA that will only be enforced against AMERICAN vigilantes... it was an AMERICAN law, not a INTERNATIONAL law
plus, they could just leave America and go to a new country..
unless they were scared it was going to spread throughout all the goverments in the world...
but non-american character's had nothing to worry about.. the only people that had to worry about is, is AMERICANS. vigiliantes..
Actually it was mentioned that many other countries already had their own versions of the SHRA. I believe Sabra brought it up in the Civil War X-men books
Answer me this. Why did Namor get a superhuman registration card? First of all he is not an American citizen so he should not need one and second he is the king so he gets diplomatic immunity,
" Answer me this. Why did Namor get a superhuman registration card? First of all he is not an American citizen so he should not need one and second he is the king so he gets diplomatic immunity, "He needs something to wipe his ass with too! And toilet paper dissolves underwater.
I dunno... cause?
The US has a lot of crazy laws regarding citizens abroad, like when Storm was told to register blah blah...
" I don't really remember any non-American heroes getting involved, but doesn't SHIELD have global (and probably low Earth orbit) authority? "Black Panther had a tie-in.
" giant flaw in Marvel's Civil WarInternational Heroes and Villains didn't really need to worry. When Thing went to France and Joined Les Heroes de Paris he didn't have to worry about the registration. He was a free hero.Black Panther got involved because he wanted to.He could have stayed out of it.Civil War didn't effect Wakanda.I think heroes around the world were more worried that something bad would happen if the government basically had control of the heroes. The U.S Government isn't exactly trustworthy.

While I agree with your sentiments, the point of these arcs is to cause exactly this type of reaction. A good story is meant to be timeless, where people can talk about it for decades to come. So if people want to talk about Civil War, or Infinity Gauntlet, or Kree-Skrull War, they're entitled to. That's why they are in a comics website discussing it. It just seems kind of rude to point out something like... "It's 2011, stop talking about Civil War." Your comments in that regard become kind of pointless. Not trying to be confrontational, just wanting to point something out, that's all.

Then again, I barely do anymore. I'm more of an Anti-Venom/Flash as Venom guy anyway. ;p Also, this from the guy with Nightwing for an av?
Ok its 2011 quit talking about overrated has-been avatars. *look at own avatar* Oh wait........um. let's try this again. Its 2011 quit talking about people who just stay dead. There we go,
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
They should do a series of comics based on every war, EVER.
so civil war already came to pass but so did alot of other arcs commenly talked about front time to time in this site.
as for the op statement
civil war took place in the US and from what i rememberreading all fights and participants lived in the US.Some lesser unknow heroes did infact leave the country while others stayed to fight it.the international community might have being curious as to what was going on but again it was only those who lived in the country who were involved in the civil war.

"I wasn't trying to be rude, but I've seen this in many other threads where people will argue that Civil War was wrong in this certain area or they should have done it this way, but the bottom line is that right now in current Marvel, it's as if Civil War NEVER even happened. It's old news, so let's move on with the "what if's?" already. That's all I was saying when I said that, but I'm sorry if it came off as rude or jerkish.
The real flaw is that the biggest argument about the SHRA in the comics was that people had to give up their secret identities. As of this point the MCU hasn't introduced a single person with a secret identity into the franchise.
Daredevil, and Civil War itself will be the introduction of Spider-Man.
However, there are plenty of other reasons why Captain America and Iron Man will be ready to start a brawl. (SHIELD collapse, Ultron.)
@kanyejayz: the mcu version of Civil War has nothing to do with secret identities.
