I'm not sure if he's implying she's No-Girl, but where do the wide eyes come in?

Because i thought that the special class was just being weird that whole time and that No-girl was fake. It makes so much sense that Cipher would be No-Girl.

Ah, I'm with you  Sorry, I was really confused.

Well, No-Girl is the floating brain in a jar, and Cipher spends a lot of time being hidden... but definitely has a body.  And a funky hairdo.

Although I think there's still a lot of mystery that surrounds Cipher. And I wonder if she'll have to change her name now that Cypher's back from the dead...?

@extrememage: Martha Johansson is No-Girl, not Ernst or Cipher.

see thats what i'm thinking. that a writer just determined that no-girl and martha should be the same character when they were actually two different ones.

Ernst was apparently speaking for Martha as Martha didn't have a mouth to speak with.  Therefore Ernst could 'translate' for Martha.   The thing is, did Martha only speak to Ernst because she trusted only Ernst & no-one else?  Or was Ernst just making it up?  However, Ernst didn't create the name "No-Girl", that was a cruel name the rest of the students came up with for Martha because she had no body.

However, that has nothing to do with Cipher.  Cipher was created especially for Young X-Men & therefore didn't appear till late 2008.  Martha Johansson and the name "No-Girl" was created by Grant Morrison for New X-Men back in 2001.

The name "No-Girl" was used several years before Cipher was even created.  Therefore Cipher is not No-Girl.

Yeah I knew of the gap, but when they were showing Ciphers first encounter with Cyclops and Jean, it was around that time, so I thought they may have slipped her into the special class, cause where else would they have really put her.

@jordama:  But the name No-Girl was used before the character of Cipher was created.  Although later writers may have shown her in a flashback, that doesn't mean the name No-Girl was applied to her.  Especially as it's a cruel nickname created by the general student body, but no-one (aside from a few teachers) even knew that Cipher existed.

OK, but it would be interesting if they did that, to tie it all together.
