Cinder was a criminal and prisoner used by Ultratech to test one of their weapons. Instead of being vaporized like the others, his body became super heated and burst into flames. He was used as a way to train others for the Killer Instinct tournament. Eventually he forged a friendship with the alien named Glacius and turned against Ultratech. Though Glacius survived the rebellion, Cinder sadly did not, Cinder never got the cure he desired for his living inferno, but he did receive the death he was willing to settle for.
