I saw this coming.
Marvel is pleased to announce that due to the overwhelming demand, X-Men #200 will return to press with a variant cover featuring the interior artwork of Chris Bachalo and the former hero Gambit! Written by Mike Carey, with art by Chris Bachalo & Humberto Ramos, X-Men #200 not only kicked off the first chapter of Endangered Species, but introduced an all-new, all-deadly Marauders…who killed one of the most popular X-Men! After a quick sell-out at Diamond (though copies may be available at the retail level), fans have clamored for more X-Men #200 and once again Marvel delivers!
Critics continue to rave about X-Men #200. “Buy this book and read it. That’s it,” said Brant Fowler of SilverbulletComics.Com.
Aaron Stueve of BrokenFrontier.Com agreed, exclaiming, “Issue #200 brings you everything you could want in an X-Men comic.”
The X-Men are no more and the Marauders have taken over. Is this the end of the X-Men as we know them? And don’t miss the first exciting chapter of Endangered Species, kicking off the can’t-miss X-Men story leading into this fall’s Messiah Complex event!

X-tinction is coming, huh? That doesn't sound too good. These whacky mutants never get a break. I was a little unsure of the team at first. They don't seem to completely gel together but there are some interesting characters here. I wonder if that's all going to change after issue #200. Looks like Rogue might be getting better.
As the X-Men hurtle towards the huge anniversary issue that is X-Men #200, nothing’s as it seems for Rogue’s team of unpredictable mutants. Written by acclaimed scribe Mike Carey and penciled by fan favorite Chris Bachalo, X-Men #199 will not only change Cable forever, but also dramatically alter the course of Rogue’s life—and that’s putting it lightly! Faced with a seemingly unstoppable enemy, the X-Men will have to risk it all to win and just wait till you see how it all ends!
“Mike Carey is the man steering this rollercoaster ride and he’s got me hooked,” exclaimed Newsarama.Com’s Steve Ekstrom. “Chris Bachalo’s work only gets better and better—with Carey being the ‘second-coming,’ I don’t see how anyone can pass this book up. Run faster to your local shop—this book is hot!”
Comixfan’s Alan Bergin gushed, “Carey has succeeded in providing a worthwhile re-imagining of the merry mutants.”
With this final chapter of the “Critical Condition” storyline in X-Men #199, the X-Men are heading straight into conflict with one of their deadliest threats ever, but if you’re not onboard now, you’re going to miss out on how it all begins. The end isn’t near…it’s here!
