I had a nice sigh of relief opening this issue to see Toni will still have a presence in the book. The flashback is great. The scene with Colby hitting on Tony's sister was pretty funny. This issue is sort of a back to the basics approach to Chew. As nice as it is to have Tony back in the spotlight, I still miss Toni.

After the funeral scene I felt the issue lost a little steam. I don't know what it was but this issue felt like something was missing. Not that it was bad or anything, it was good(good enough for a four). I just have these built in expectations for Chew were I expect every issue to be like a five or something.

I'm really unsure about angry Tony, and hope this doesn't stay that way. The reveal at the end was really cool. I'm really interested to see where this goes.

    Art

    Great art nothings changed.

    Overall

A solid issue, but something seems to be missing.

We jump back and forth between the two biggest losses in Tony's entire life. A lot of things are ...

No, there is no new shocking death in these panels. Through the use of flashbacks, we are taken to the time when Tony Chew buried his wife.Warning: Spoilers! In the last issue of Chew, Tony’s sister met an untimely, but foreseen, ugly demise.
