The daughter of a japanese woman and a German karate master, Hitomi has trained in karate most of her life. Hitomi enters the 3rd Dead or Alive tournament to find Ein, a man she found in the black forest of Germany with no memory who she trained with. Ein turns out to be Hayate of the Ninja Clan.

A former opera singer and the current CEO of DOATEC, Helena is the illegitimate daughter of former CEO Fame Douglas and and opera singer named Maria. Helena joined the Dead or Alive 2 tournament to find her mothers killer, but ended up inheriting the tournament and DOATEC upon Fame's death.

The older brother to both Kasumi and Ayane as well as the current leader of the Mugen Tenshin Ninja Clan, Hayate was used in DOATEC's experiments to create a super soldier though he just ended up losing his memory.

A British born martial artist, Eliot is the student of the legendary Master Gen Fu. Eliot to this day does not know why Gen Fu chose him as an apprentice. Eliot spends his days traveling with Brad Wong seeking to become a better martial artist.
