    Chaos, War and Nightmares

This issue can really be called as a Chaos War tie-in, since it´s related to the main series and tells Ares, Mikaboshi and Alexander early relationship (a little about their past). These three have a connection, which is showed in Secret Warriors. Oeming´s story isn´t fascinating, but captured my atention as I saw the thin line that resides in War, Chaos and Fear. Can this last one be the key to defeat Mikaboshi´s ambitions? Segovia´s art is awesome, with lot´s of details, battle scenes (beautiful colors by the colores team, also great inks). The best of this issue was Ares´paradoxal feelings: as he crossed the Stix River towards the Elysian Fields, he kinda felt oblivious and a warm happiness (what you wouldn´t expect from the God of War and from a guy who already died lots of times), quickly washed away by Pluto and his cold revenge for his brother´s family, and also that Ares just became a puppet, what he despises from the bottom of his imortal soul, since now he´s Mikaboshi´s General. This is a very consistent tie-in, that explains a little what´s going on. I´ve bought this mostly because of Stephen Segovia´s art, but I was amazed with the quality of the writing and the issue as a whole. Highly recommended.

The Good Considering how all the gods featured in this have such malignant domains, there’s a delightful upside-down, funhouse mirror, twisted quality to this temptation game in the garden. Oeming pulls out some clever and elegant turns of phrase for that portion, as Nightmare’s pleas to...

Ares = Good, Chaos War = Meh 0

This is a one shot of two halves, one excellent and one boring.  We start out seeing what happened to Ares after The Sentry ripped him apart and this is really good, it's something that Marvel should have addressed earlier. The great thing about the gods of Marvel is that they don't truly die, there's more to Ares story as death is just the beginning for him. I wish Marvel had made a mini series showing Ares' struggles to reach the elysian fields, the first half of this one shot is showing that ...
