Chameleon Boy

Origin

Chameleon Boy originated from a small planet called Durla. Durla once substantiated a high order civilization. His race can analyze and store data about any object or other life form through their antennae. Durlans can then shape their bodies into nearly identical duplicates whenever they want. Nearly all other races fear and distrust Durlans because of this ability.

Leaving behind a position in Durla's political/religious caste, Reep adopted a humanlike appearance to join the Legion. As a Legionnaire, he hopes to prove to the galaxy that Durlans are trustworthy. He is invaluable to the team, especially as a member of the covert Legion Espionage Squad.

As one of the more outgoing Legionnaires, Chameleon Boy is exploring the complexity of relations with non-Durlans. He considers teammates Sensor and Invisible Kid his best friends.

Durla

The downfall of Chameleon Boy's planet was due to the warlike tendencies of its civilization, which culminated in the Six Minute War. The planet is now left in a nuclear rubble and the nuclear radiation mutated everyone on the planet, including Chameleon Boy.

Appearance

Reep Daggle gets his reptilian look because of the radiation he encountered as a young boy.

Powers

The Durlans were also left with a shape shift ability; they can take the form to instantly adapt to there surroundings and habitats. Chameleon Boy is no different, and is actually one of the most skilled Durlan in shape-shifting.

Background

Chameleon Boy's father, R.J. Brande, abandoned Reep when he was just a little boy. While still living on Durla after the Nuclear conflict, Reep was left to grow up believing that his grandparents were actually his biological parents. He later learned the truth and left Durla in quest of his father. In his time away from Durla he joined the Legion Of Super-Heroes. He has recently re-united with this father.
