    Chamber is a mutant with psionic energy emitting from his chest. He lost his powers on M-Day, was kidnapped by a cult of Apocalypse and transformed into Decibel. He regained his original powers following the events of Age of X.

    Rick Remender (of “Franken-Castle” fame) will be taking the reigns on the latest amalgamation of the killing squad in “Uncanny X-Force.” Set to hit shelves in October, Wolverine and Archangel will be taking the team of Psylocke, Deadpool, and Fantomex on a top-secret mission to kill Apocalypse. Although it remains to be seen how the team intends to destroy the big blue meanie that just keeps coming back, Singh assures the crowd it will be a hell of a ride -- promising that the last frame of issue #1 will evoke literal jaw-drops.

    Cebulski hinted to possibly seeing a return of Decibel—formerly Chamber of “Generation X”—in the hunt for Apocalypse as well.

     I'm excited! :D I mean it does make perfect sense for him to return in this series, in-fact it wouldn't be very Cannon if he didn't!

    @Edamame:  The first issue of the series isn't even out yet. It's probably a 4-5 issue story arc, so the TPB will probably be out in 7-9 months from now.

    now rereading it, Decibel's powerset pretty much makes him a Telekinetic right? It will be interesting to see if they resolve 
    A) whether his powers are biological or not. 
    B) the Blood of Apocalypse, wasn't Apoc supposed to be punished by the Celestials? 
    C) Ozymandias & Frederick Slade storyline really needs to be picked up eventually.

    a fan at the X-men panel at NYCC asked about Chamber and the panelists of which Remender was a part of said that there were no plans for him

    I can't believe they'd leave Chamber out of an Apocalypse/Clan Akkaba return storyline! They better not. D:

    What? How would it not be 'canon'? That phrase doesn't even make sense. 
    For that matter, why should he show up? He's not a mutant, he's already stated that he 'just wants to be left alone', and doesn't even seem to like anyone currently counted as being a member of the X-men.

    Eh, we don't really know what's going on with him on weather or not he has powers.  He lost his original powers on M-Day but since the blood of Apocalypse was used to heal him he may have other powers or something

    @Squares: They don't know what Apocalypse's blood has done to his physiology exactly, so he could be a mutant.  His viewpoints have definitely changed since he said he wanted to be left alone in New Excalibur, certainly after his suicidal thoughts subsided as seen in New Warriors.  He DOES have a great fondness for Jubilee and has a history with Husk though he might not be interested in seeing her.  He's also friends with Wolverine and despite their rivalry, he may want to have a conversation with Warren about Apocalypse and his schemes.
