While many superheroes are perpetually young, the Challengers of the Unknown have aged into their forties, living off of the fame and renown of having saved the world from peril several times over decades earlier. However, when tragedy strikes, apparently claiming the lives of two of the Challengers and threatening their resources and freedom, will the surviving members of the team go their own separate ways or come together to solve the mysteries surrounding the tragedy?
