First of all, people are comparing this movie to the actual Catwoman, Selina Kyle. But you guys need to keep in mind, this movie is not a direct adaptation of the comic, this movie is inspired by the comic Catwoman, most of the negative reviews are because this doesn't "stick to the comic" - when it's not supposed to.

Artist Patience Phillips (played by Halle Berry -
Storm from X-Men) works for a high-end cosmetic company. One day, she discovers that the same cosmetics company has infected their products in dangerous and harmful ways. Patience is discovered overhearing their plans and flee's the scene, only to be 'killed' due to her pursuers flooding the pipes, drowning her. Suddenly, a mysterious cat brigns her new life, endowing her with special cat-like abilities. Using these powers she sets out to make the streets safer, while bringing down the company that killed her.
Good
This was a nice movie, Halle Berry was very sexy in the role of Catwoman and showed just how beautiful she was. If you forget about Selina Kyle and truly watch this movie, then you may appreciate it more like I did. The fight scenes were kinda cool and the story seemed sorta unique. Sharon Stone was an amazing villainess, really seductive and tough as nails. I couldn't stop looking at her on-screen, she seemed to mysterious and beautiful too. It followed classic superhero cliche's such as the costume, which obviously didn't conceal the heroes' identity, although the people in the movie seemed to think so.
Bad
This was really cheesy. I liked some of the cheesy one liners, but in the end they got a bit too much. Halle Berry's acting at times were a little off and did make me cringe slightly. The effects weren't too good either, but this was made quite a while ago, so I'll let them off. The movie did seem to progress a little slow and the ending 'fight' was a little crappy (seeing as Sharon Stone's character did nothing).
Overall
This movie was okay to pass the time, I probably won't pay for it in the cinema or buy the dvd, but it's nice to watch it on television now and again. This movie tried so much to be liked, but in the end, it tried
too hard with the dialogue that wasn't too great. But like I've said, look at this movie not as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, but as a whole new character instead, since this is what it is. It shares nothing similar with the comic counterpart and should be treated that way.
