In this movie Catwoman's origin is slightly tweaked. Catwoman is Patience Phillips. She works in the art department of a cosmetics company. She accidentally stumbles across the dark, deadly secret behind the new cosmetics line, and is killed. She is eventually revived by the Egyptian Cat-god with new powers of agility and heightened senses and reflexes.

First of all, people are comparing this movie to the actual Catwoman, Selina Kyle. But you guys need to keep in mind, this movie is not a direct adaptation of the comic, this movie is inspired by the comic Catwoman, most of the negative reviews are because this doesn't  "stick to the comic"  - when it's not supposed to.  About Artist Patience Phillips (played by Halle Berry - Storm from X-Men) works for a high-end cosmetic company. Understanding this MovieI thought this movie was enjoyable to watch at least once. I can understand that serious Catwoman or DC fans would hate this film. However, it's pretty clear that this movie had no intention on adapting the DC Universe's Catwoman. There should be no confusion, this ain't the Catwoman you knew. This ain't Selina Kyle! Really? No one has reviewed this? No. No, I'm not doing this, this movie was unbelievable! She wasn't Selina Kyle, she wasn't in Gotham City, there was no mention of Gotham City, there's some bullshark about an egyptian cat god and  the same cat puns rolled out over and over again. They might as well have made this entire movie just Hally Berry taking one deep breath and saying "puuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" for two hours.
