DC comics will be releasing the new Catwoman series next month. It looks like Catwoman will continue to be an anti-hero. I would like to see her return to being a villain. Any ideas?
Catwoman
Character » Catwoman appears in 3421 issues.
Catwoman is a fictional character originating from DC Comics. Under the costumed alias of Catwoman, Selina Kyle, is a cat burglar with an on-again, off-again, romantic relationship with Batman. She is shown as a woman who is very strong-willed, independent and morally dubious.
Will Catwoman be a hero or a villain in the new series?
Judd Winnick said that she's just going to be a criminal. Not exactly a villain or a hero, but certainly involved in criminal acts.

Technically, yes. But what Judd Winick means is that Cat Woman won't be a villain to Batman. Nor will she be his ally in his fight against crime either. She's by her nature a cat burglar and she will relieve the wealthy of their feline-themed valuables (and then quickly blow the doe on a get-away weekend to Monaco), but she won't be senselessly taking lives or scheming to bring Batman down, like Joker or Two-Face would. Quite the contrary, she'll likely be more concerned over keeping her feelings for Batman from bringing her down.@cosmo111687 said:

Which is how the character should be. Catwoman as a mainline Bat villain is a bit of a joke and one of the things that was left behind for years because nobody was interested in reading stories about a villain that just stole feline-themed valuables (in the same way the Penquin was changed from a bird-themed thief to a club owner and gang leader). My fear for this series is; 1) the writers go with a feline-theme, which would make the stories redundant and not explore the full range of Catwoman's skills. Just let her steal anything she wants from anyone she wants. For a character like her's the fun of her comic will be the thrill of the heist not what is being stolen. 2) the stories will get redundant, especially if she's confined to Gotham. This is a perfect new start to showcase Selina as a globetrotting thief, sometimes stealing for herself for fun and sometimes taking jobs from people that want something stolen from them (valuables, information, company secrets, whatever). That will keep the tone of the series a bit more random and let the reader enjoy globetrotting with her.
I'm sure the people he stole from didn't consider him a hero :P Plus he stole from the rich and gave to the poor, Catwoman steals from anyone and keeps it to herself, so yeah, not very heroic.@War Killer: No. The Disney character Robin Hood was a criminal but he was a hero :D
