Origin

Tom Blake used to be a world-famous trapper of jungle cats who turned to a life of crime because he had grown bored with hunting and had depleted most of his fortune. He became a burglar who committed his crimes in a catsuit made out of an ancient African cloth he believed gave him a cat's nine lives. His costume was modeled after Catwoman's disguise. Catwoman helped Batman catch the criminal because she was not pleased with him copying her costume. The two costumed criminals would have a competitive, love/hate relationship for many years afterward which included Selina Kyle (Catwoman) being wrongly accused for Catman's crimes at least once. His weapon of choice was a cat-o-nine-tails (a multi-tailed whip). He grew tired of always failing and out of desperation he returned to Africa to regain his confidence and pride. Living in the jungle gave him and training with the cats helped him regain his confidence and fighting ability. He would have gladly spent his entire life living in the jungle amongst his feline brother but Lex Luthor ordered the decimation of his pride. This enraged Catman and forced him to hunt Luthor. Since then Catman has aligned himself with the Secret Six. He now hunst and punishes those who abuse their power hero or villain alike. Catman was last seen attending the funeral for Green Arrow (Oliver Queen).

Powers and Abilities

Catman is an excellent tracker. He is very skilled in bladed weapons and is extremely agile and stealthy. His gloves are equipped with sharp metal claws that look to that of a lions paw. He is a great hand to hand combatant, being able to hold his own against Batman.
