Rogue is a badass!
Rick Jones and the mutants try and fight the Gah Lak Tus swarm, but they eventually notice it´s no use, so they try and escape through a tunnel, which it turns out, is also filled with the Gah Lak Tus swarm. James gets infected, but they manage to rid the swarm from him, much thanks to his healing factor. Then the issue ends with the reveal that Pixie has been impaled by the Gah Lak Tus swarm.
I just realized the reason why both this issue, and the issue of Cataclysm Ultimates was so easy to summarize. It´s because they stay in the same place all through out the issue, not jumping around from place to place, like some goddamn jack-in-the-box. Not that there´s anything wrong with that.
But back to the issue. I really liked the interaction between Iceman and Rick. They sound just like old friends, which is what they are. Rogue was pretty badass when she borrowed Ricks power. That scene where the Gah Lak Tus swarm leaves James body was pretty cool too.
I feel a little sad that Pixie is going to bite the dust. I was really starting to like her character.And speaking of which, how will they get back to their home dimension now that their teleporter is dead? Or can Rick take them there?`Has he recovered enough? Looking forward to the last issue!
