A young journalist travels to Cuba in 1958 to report about the rebel leader Fidel Castro and gets involved in the events of the Cuban Revolution. Reinhard Kleist spent some time in Cuba to do some research. He first published "Havanna", a more personal work, and then "Castro", with the help from Castro's biographer Volker Skierka. The result is a very documented work that recreates the events and the characters seriously, letting the reader to get his/her own conclusions.
