Fangoria is reporting that creature performer, Nick Principe (las seend in "Laid To Rest"), has been cast as the lead slasher in the movie.
“As of right now, I’m playing the lead slasher out of four or five, with the possibility of playing another,” he tells us. “I can’t tell you his name or stats just yet, but he will be his own character, not based on anyone from the comic. He was completely developed by me and Todd Lincoln, including one of the craziest backstories ever for a killer. It’s the biggest-budget slasher flick I’ve ever heard of, so a lot of the details as far as who will play Cassie Hack and Vlad are super-hush-hush—but it’s between three very high-profile actors.”Sounds good. The casting of Cassie could be crucial. Despite the success of the comic and it's strong following, a high-profile actor (especially for Cassie) could be what this movie needs. The success of the movie will also give the underrated comic the attention it deserves.
