Attached to a harness encircling his lower chest and waist, each telepathically controlled, telescoping limb can move at speeds of up to 90 feet per second and strike with the force of a jackhammer. Once he was Otto Octavius, a brilliant and respected nuclear physicist, inventor and lecturer. But a freak laboratory accident exposed him to intense radioactivity, grafting the tentacles to his body and transforming him into a criminally insane megalomaniac.
