This is what Carol Ferris looks like in an evening gown

Continuing my series of superhero movie premieres, here are the pictures from Green Lantern which we got last night.  Unlike other recent movies, this one had only really one major female star.  So here are the pics of Blake Lively showing up last night.

The top doesn't look so bad - in fact it is pretty and enhances her face well (as does her makeup)

The skirt though is bordering on ridiculous - with a see through skirt I always think of what the dress would look like without it, and this would be a micro mini, the transparent lace breaks up the dress into two segments as well which I don't think works very nicely.

Now all I have left is to hope that Hayley Atwell can pull off something nice for Captain America.

That's barely a gown. It's a skirt with a veil. She's still hot though.

@FadeToBlackBolt

You have unfortunately aligned yourself on the wrong side of the Blake Lively-Leighton Meester divide.

I really love the dress.

You can have the dress. If I can have the person in it, deal?

Leighton Meester versus Blake Lively, they are both from Gossip Girl, in case you don't know which side I am on, check on my profile.

Serena Van Der Woodsen vs Blair Waldorf. Georgina Sparks destroys both.

Don't underestimate me =P

I prefer Leighton to Blake, for the record.

@FadeToBlackBolt

Georgina is an omega class society girl.  I would never had taken you for a gossip girl fan though.

Fan? Not at all (no offence). My sister watches it, and I'm a HUGE fan of Michelle Trachtenberg. I watch it when she's on, because I think Georgina is delightfully evil. I did enjoy the

Ugh, that same problem again, with the segment. Should be gradual/tapered, not so blocky.

Leighton needs to go be the sassiest Rogue ever now!

I still think she was a badddd choice for Carol

Leighton for Rogue petition needs to be started

@.Mistress Redhead.

 Agreed, even if she sort of looks the part (which she doesn't really) she is also way too young.

Did she dye her hair for the movie?

@hydrabob: Yup. Looks like she did.

I agree as well. I was surprised when they cast her. Though I guess they were looking more at an actress they could suit up and match Van Wilder, who I thought was odd choice for Hal.

@RazzaTazz: Gypsy Wedding!

#21 Posted by hydrabob--defunct (14833 posts) - - Show Bio
@SC: Hm, probably should have told her I have a thing for blondes then.

Hey, people cannot begin to understand how important it was that Galactus was just a cloud. I told the guys, "Hey, your movie is going to suck. What you need to do is make it suck so much that people will talk about this movie as the suckiest." of course I didn't know Wolverine Origins was going to come out. No one could have seen that coming.

You would think with the recent hub-bub with the pictures (whether or not they were her), her publicist or stylist would have went with something less revealing but still age appropriate.

I think my problem is I keep thinking ahead to when she becomes Star Sapphire and I just do not see Blake doing that at all

@SC

I have so converted you to a Gossip Girl fan, by referring to Blake as Serena.

@Babs

I was thinking something similar, except that the gypsy was also a 1960s flower girl in her spare time

@hydrabob

Find me a Hollywood star that doesn't dye their hair ...
