- Before we get all excited that it's possible Carol will appear in Avengers 2 (I certainly hope so), just remember as of right now, this is merely speculation and rumours.

I'm hoping that Carol will appear, but only as a member of the military, no powers until phase 3.

Agreed on this. I don't want Ms. Marvel until after Mar-Vell appears in the movieverse.

I also hope that they reconsider on the actresses if this is true, Blunt is good, but she doesn't strike me as Ms. Marvel, and I've never seen Ruth Wilson in anything, but she doesn't really look like Carol.

They do need a female member on the team but it's a bit soon for Ms Marvel to appear.

@Lvenger: I don't really believe Carol being in Avengers 2 myself - if they're paying Scarlett Johansson 20 million to reprise her useless role again, then it's only natural that Marvel wants her back JUST because they need a female on the team - seriously, they should just give the other 10 million to Cobie Smulders...

It's from the Daily Mail so I wouldn't believe it. As for these two choices though I can't decide between either of them, both would be great.

I would not be surprised if Ms. Marvel becomes a part of the Avengers 2 but I do not see the actresses mentioned as good fits for playing her. While I agree that it would be better off for her to be on as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and not the powered up Ms. Marvel, odds are she is going to be all suped up.

I'm a big fan of Emily Blunt. I'd support that.

I would prefer Yvonne Strahovski as Captain Marvel.

Strahovski is a decent fit I'd like someone who looks the part the actress who played frankie raye in the FF movies looked good in uniform.

Thanks!!! :-) I agree she should be "Ms. Marvel" and then maybe "Captain Marvel" in the sequels, if it gets that far. Kind of like a evolution of the character in the movies. I think that would be cool.

I don't like either choice, neither face nor personality strikes me as Carol Danvers. I would also second the popular Yvonne Strahovski though.

I'd prefer Wasp, or She Hulk to appear over Ms. Marvel, but it is a good move on their part to introduce a Wonder Womanescue character in terms of power, really sock it to DC before they can release a Wonder Woman movie assuming they ever try. In all honesty the public "at least the young ones" really does know next to nothing about these characters history.

@Galactic_Man: useless role? She may not have had as many snippy lines, or key action scenes but she was far from useless. If anything she was part of the glue that kept the team together. She remained calm while banner hulked out on her, was able to Hawkeye back on there side, tricked Loki the trickster, closed the portal. The only reason why she may seem useless to you was because she didn't have a backup movie, she was a useful member of the team, and a strong female character.

Now on to Ms.Marvel I would love to see her in the movie but not by these actresses and maybe not yet either. And to be honest I think it would be easier to bring in eitehr Wasp or she-hulk as another female like other people have mentioned.
