After encountering the Kree hero Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers was accidentally subjected to otherworldly radiation that transformed her into a superhuman warrior. Calling herself Ms. Marvel, she established herself as one of the most powerful and prominent heroes and respected member of the Avengers. She has now adopted the mantle of Captain Marvel for herself.
So excited to see Carol coming back! It's felt like so long since the last volume ended, even thiugh it totally hasn't been. I love the first cover! Is Lopez going to be the series' regular artist or will he be changing off? I hope he stays for a long time, but I guess it's too early to tell. The second one kinda creeps me out. Not a big fan of anthropomorphic foxes.
@crimsonlord53: I'm O.K. with that style, but this new one may be a bit better.
@maddpanda531:I haven't seen any news of him moving on, so hopefully he'll be on board for a while. I think these anthropomorphic covers are going to be on a few titles coming up.

Kind of annoying that the price is going up, but I'm not too bothered. The solicit is kind of intriguing, as altering the course of the entire Marvel Universe is a pretty big deal.
I'm not sure what to think of this "new romance". I didn't really want to see a love interest explored, and if it's a new person, I don't know what to expect. I thought after #17 it might be Frank Gianelli, who I'd probably be O.K. with.
@v_scarlotte_rose: artworks looking good, it should be that dark if its a sunny day, I prefer the realism, also notice in the explosion that the reds gone very light pink, I really like the artwork... Will be getting this
As for the perception of brightness and colour, the brighter the light the larger the contrast will be, so depending where the light is and how bright it is it will effect perception of colours differently, I imagine that your eyes have 'pixels' that detect a band of wavelengths, so while a bright light increases intensity it also inhibits the ability to define colours... So dark things look darker and light colours brighter...
But I could be wrong, I'm happy for a correction :)
