All-New Captain Marvel #1 Covers Revealed.

Hi Everyone.

I've just seen the cover and variant cover for the new Captain Marvel series, and I think they look pretty good:

They're both by David Lopez, who is the new interior artist. If the interiors look like this, I think I'll be quite happy with it. :)

Any thoughts?

So excited to see Carol coming back! It's felt like so long since the last volume ended, even thiugh it totally hasn't been. I love the first cover! Is Lopez going to be the series' regular artist or will he be changing off? I hope he stays for a long time, but I guess it's too early to tell. The second one kinda creeps me out. Not a big fan of anthropomorphic foxes.

Carol needs to stop hiding that pretty face behind that ridiculous mask

I'm just glad she ditched that faux hawk hair style.

@crimsonlord53: I'm O.K. with that style, but this new one may be a bit better.

@maddpanda531:I haven't seen any news of him moving on, so hopefully he'll be on board for a while. I think these anthropomorphic covers are going to be on a few titles coming up.

And another, with the solicit:

Hero! Pilot! Avenger! Captain Marvel, Earth’s Mightiest Hero with death-defying powers and an attitude to match, is back and launching headfirst into an all-new ongoing series! As Captain Marvel, a.k.a. Carol Danvers, comes to a crossroads with a new life and new romance, she makes a dramatic decision that will alter the course of her life and the entire Marvel Universe in the months to come. It’s time to go HIGHER, FURTHER, FASTER and more in the most super-powered comic around!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99"

Kind of annoying that the price is going up, but I'm not too bothered. The solicit is kind of intriguing, as altering the course of the entire Marvel Universe is a pretty big deal.

I'm not sure what to think of this "new romance". I didn't really want to see a love interest explored, and if it's a new person, I don't know what to expect. I thought after #17 it might be Frank Gianelli, who I'd probably be O.K. with.

And we now have a page of interior art:

Her suit looks a bit dark, but apart from that, I think it looks pretty good. :)

@v_scarlotte_rose: artworks looking good, it should be that dark if its a sunny day, I prefer the realism, also notice in the explosion that the reds gone very light pink, I really like the artwork... Will be getting this

@hillbillymorangie:Wouldn't the sun make it look lighter?

Anyway, cover and solicit for #2:

Kelly Sue DeConnick (W) • DAVID LOPEZ (A/C)

Artist Variant by J.G. Jones

• Higher, faster, further…. WAR?!

• Captain Marvel forges towards the final frontier—and is thrown into the frontlines of battle.

• Can this half-alien survive in an all alien-world?

• The breakout hit of 2012 makes a glorious return!

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

@v_scarlotte_rose: wow really like that one,

As for the perception of brightness and colour, the brighter the light the larger the contrast will be, so depending where the light is and how bright it is it will effect perception of colours differently, I imagine that your eyes have 'pixels' that detect a band of wavelengths, so while a bright light increases intensity it also inhibits the ability to define colours... So dark things look darker and light colours brighter...

But I could be wrong, I'm happy for a correction :)

I am loving the art on this.

New direction life and love-wise? Considering what's happening in other Marvel books, who knows where she'll end up and who she will be running into.
