Carnage is the offspring of the alien symbiote Venom. It bonded with serial killer, Cletus Kasady, thus creating one of Spider-Man's most murderous and lethal adversaries.The Symbiote created Toxin during the Venom vs Carnage mini series and later Scorn in the Carnage mini series.
So apparently at SDCC '10 they released news of Carnage's return, BUT with a different host. For speculation purposes, who do you guys think the red symbiote will possess? Or who would you like it to possess?
I'm pretty sure it's already been confirmed a unknown new female character is going to be the host. Which to me is going to be a really unique and cool direction for the character. :)

Damn, for real? I mean that's awesome, hopefully they don't sexualize Carnage with the introduction of a female character. I was thinking they'd give it to Osborn or something. But I'm never against attempts to balance the gender scale.
@texasdeathmatch: Norman Osbourne with the carnage symbiote would be cool for a story arc but i wouldn't want it to be a lasting change but I'm sure goblin-carnage would do some damage

I figured it be a good "revenge" story. But I think we've all seen enough of Osbourne for the time being.

Yep totally, yeah I'd hate that too hopefully they won't. I think their really after just trying to examine how much of the like psychotic nature was host or symbiote, just generating a new perspective on the charcter. Yeah that would have been cool, but I'm sure they've got tons of plans with him for his prison mini-series. Yeah gender equality never a bad thing. :)
The way it sounds they are trying to add some layers to carnage and have it be more then a killing tool. So if i had to guess the women who becomes the host won't be as crazy or even as evil and maybe try her best to keep it under check which won't be easy so it sounds like it will be a fun ride. I also heard iron man is going to have more to do with it as well.

Yeah I heard about that it's going to be a really interesting blend with Iron Man in the mix, and supposedly the new character is going to be involved in both Tony and Peter's worlds. So it'll be really cool to see how they go about introducing her character.

Cool, yeah I usually don't follow mainstream nonsense (hard to keep up with all these crossovers), but I was all about Maximum Carnage as a kid and read how Sentry ripped him apart in space. Have you always been huge on Carnage or just keeping up with comic con news?
Yeah I generally try to keep up with all those silly crossovers, but I can totally see the other side of it too. I'd have to say yeah, I really dug Maximum Carnage when I was old enough to read it and just way they explored the character really made me a fan.
My worst nightmare mixed with my best dream. I always wanted Carnage to come back... but as Cletus Kasady. So I hate the idea he will have a new host. I mean Carnage doesn't really seem like a girly name... not to mention the fact that she doesn't want to kill judging by Fail-Wells... which makes her another Venom knock-off. Atleast Cletus was different slightly and enjoyed killing. Now they say the SYMBIOTE convinced Cletus to kill when Cletus was killing BEFORE he even got tangled up with the symbiote... They also seem to have forgotten the symbiote is part of Kasady's blood and is in a sense a part of him.
@KasadyCarnage: Them saying in interviews "We'll find out how much of the killing was Cletus and how much was the symbiote" shouldn't mean that they're retconning Cletus's bloodlust..... at least I hope. That would be the stupidest twist of all time. =/
@joshmightbe: Normally I DO wait... but when people mess with my favorite character I show no mercy. 'Sides the writer is Wells... he sucks. And Kasady owns all and now he's dead... so no chance for waiting for them, She-Carnage DESERVES to die.
it will suck carnage should've stay dead. of all two people that the golden guardian known as the Sentry gave the honor of being ripped in half his was the one i enjoyed the most.
i dont like the idea of female carnage or the idea that oh gosh someone will struggle with what they want and what the symbiote wants, like we haven't read that a million times already.
Oh hell Carnage is back new host or Kasady the symbiote probably wants revenge on Spider-Man, Mac Gargan's Venom, and Eddie Brock Anti Venom for the past.
