Captain Marvel #2 (2014) Review
The Good: As Kelly Sue DeConnick has done since taking over this character, she uses Carol's natural levity to keep the book witty and fun throughout all of her adventures. This is a fun issue that jumps off the page, and the guest stars are a perfect fit for Carol's space escapades and I hope they frequent the book.
The Bad: Everything kind of concluded a little too easy. And things got out of their hands a little too easily as well towards the end of the issue. You expect these sorts of things in the middle chapters of an arc, but this was a little too convenient for my taste. Still, hardly a huge issue for me.
The Verdict: Another stellar issue in a stellar run for DeConnick on Captain Marvel and things seemed primed to get better and better from here on. What makes this series (counting the last series) so great is that it's always a fun read, and this issue definitely delivers on that front.
