Namor the Sub-Mariner is the ruler of undersea Atlantis. The offspring of a sea captain and an Atlantean princess, he has been both a hero and a villain to the surface world. Namor is one of Marvel's oldest published characters with his origins in the Golden Age of comics.

An exceptional athlete and courageous man, Flash was dubbed "King Of the Impossible" due to many fantastic adventures and accomplishments including thwarting an invasion from the planet Mongo orchestrated by his arch nemesis Ming the Merciless. Flash Gordon was originally owned and published by King Features Syndicate and has since been licensed by several other companies for movies and comics.
Dick Tracy was the greatest detective of his time fighting mob bosses. His name was feared in the criminal underworld.
Tarzan is the orphaned son of a British lord who was raised by a pride of apes in the African jungle and later discovered by a group of explorers.
Famed alligator of Pogo fame. He was always hungry, smoked a lot of cigars, and was very self-centered. Still, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for Pogo.
Walt Kelly's famed swamp dwelling possum. Paid homage to by Alan Moore in his acclaimed Swamp Thing run in the 80's.
