    Origin

Captain Freedom was the alter ego of newspaperman Don Wright, who fought the Axis on the home front. More of a nonpowered vigilante than a competitor of Superman, Captain Freedom fought the Nazis and their saboteurs- in Freedom's universe Nazi subs migrated up America's rivers and mines and dams were constantly fair game for Axis thugs and dynamite-addicted racial stereotypes.

Also of note: "Franklin Flagg" was listed as the creator of Captain Freedom-- to this day the real identity of this mysterious comicbook creator is unknown. Given the obscurity of Captain Freedom- perhaps that is how it will forever be!
