During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
I'm skepical about it too, but if he can do serious roles like The street kings, and the losers (whch is coming soon) I think he can full it off with the right execution. Besides, he's in his last 20's and he's played a superhero character from the same company. Better than some douche bag right.
I think he'll do fine, he wouldn't have been my first pick, but I don't have to make those decisions. After all he gets consistent work as an actor and when was the last time a horrible actor kept getting work.. that wasn't a smoking hot woman?
FYI: and I am not talking about movies that go straight to DVD.
