Uh is that shield sharp?

Captain America's adamantium-vibranium infused shield can withstand atomic blasts, thor's hammer,and some more stuff. Also that shield can slice through guns , and cars. But Captain America can catch that sharp puppy again and again. So the question is it sharp, is it?

Good question, i'm kinda curious about that myself. Maybe he has padded gloves or something...?

Cap doesn't touch the sharp edge, he catches it, so that he is grasping either side of the shield and decelerates it by following through on the catch, thereby not chopping his fingers off.

Never thought of that. Maybe he is skilled enough, because he has been using it for years and he knows a few tricks or simply the writers didn't think of that.

Yeah, can't be that sharp otherwise he wouldn't be able to ricochet it like he does.

Not sure why it would be have to be sharp to do those things. With sufficient force/strength you can accomplish it.

Doesn't need to be that sharp to cut stuff up. Cap's skill and strength should allow him to cut though a lot of things when he wants it to. You won't see him cutting bread that well though. I mean, he might be able to split a loaf in half, especially if its whole grain, but anything more, will probably squash the slices and thats not how Ms America likes her bread. So thats why he can catch it, his skill, its not that sharp, and how you apply it against resistance or certain objects will matter too.
